The Stock
Market
The term stocks
has different connotation to different people. To some it
signifies the presence of capitalism and the immense
opportunity to make big money. To others it justifies the truth
of 80- 22 principle which states that it generally does not
mean that the one who works harder earns higher. It is in fact
a paradigm which states that the one who is smart enough to
capitalize on scarcity and business growth is the one who will
be able to make considerable wealth in the long run. No matter
what is his staring capital?
The stock market is a clear example of
how Greed and fear works on the minds of the people. Even the
so called rational does not come into play. It is just the
Bulls and the Bears who would continue to be present in the
market.
Stock market has had its shares of scams
and the bubbles which lead to asset appreciation and fall of
the prices. The market does not symbolize the perfection but it
has shown that patience, above all is the best tool to have in
such situations.
There are the regulators and the market
participants, brokers and the foreign investors who would time
and again try to outsmart the movements and take advantage of
the short term jigsaws but in the long run the stock markets
have just improved and they have become more vigilant than ever
before.
Markets may change form but they would
always exist. Initially there was lack of online trading but
now we have gone the online trading which forms the major
portion of the stock trading which reduces costs. Stock markets
have come up with the Derivatives instruments, margins and even
commodity trading. These have actually turned the volumes for
trading manifold and have helped the Participant with varying
instruments to make money.
With this we end this article on The
Stock market. Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as we enjoyed
writing it.
